Ans: KIDZEE is a chain of preschool, having more than 600 schools across      India and Abroad, for children between the age group of 2 to 6 years (1.5 years to 5.5 years in certain areas). It encompasses teaching methodology involving complete interaction where children are encouraged to collaborate & help each other. KIDZEE has adopted the philosophy of learning through play.

Ans: In KIDZEE, the major focus is on learning through play. The curriculum of KIDZEE is designed keeping in mind the developmental milestones of the children. Ans:   In KIDZEE safety measures are as follows:

• Adult and child ratio in classrooms is 1:8. This ratio is maintained in each classroom so that each child gets proper individual attention.
• The classrooms are being cleaned before & after the class as well as in between the tiffin hours.
• The staircases are properly grilled.
• The electrical sockets are in the higher level, which is much above the reach of the children.
• There are covered manholes around the centre.
• The corners of the furniture have the round edge to avoid accidents.
• The equipments used are child friendly and age appropriate.
• The sanitary fixtures are very much child friendly, Eg: the washbasin is of low height, as it is reachable for the children.
• The toilet is being cleaned regularly.
• The mat is being used while performing any floor activities.
• The attendants always wear the Aprons provided by KIDZEE.
• The children are made to wear the aprons, which are provided by KIDZEE during any messy activities.

Apart from this training regarding Safety is been given at various KIDZEE Centres to the teachers and other staff members.

Ans: To enhance the language development of a child KIDZEE performs various activities, which are as follows:

• At first Mother Tongue is used to make the child comfortable in the environment and gradually these words are translated to English to develop the vocabulary.
• To start with the phonetics then gradually word is introduced according to the age group.

Ans: KIDZEE does not support any sort of punishments rather children are given enough freedom to express their feelings. Rather disciplining is given more stress and major focus. Punishment leads to a feeling of inferiority in the child. At the most a child can be explained not to do a certain thing or not to behave in a certain way and explained as to why the behavior is not acceptable.

Q9.  Are the attendants good or they are harsh towards kids?

Ans: No, the attendants are not at all harsh towards the kids, as during the KIDZEE Training Programme, we have a special session for the attendants’ training, where the following points are being highlighted:

• Understanding Children & their Needs
• Importance of Health & Hygiene
• Importance of Language
• Care of surroundings & Equipments
• Role of Helper in Classroom Activities
• Rules to be followed

Ans: In KIDZEE there is no formal Home Work. But occasionally children are given homework as per the project work according to the syllabus & also some of the worksheets are also given as homework occasionally.

Ans: Computer knowledge is not given to the preschool children as such but however in the Activity Centre computer class is being offered where big children gets the chance to enroll themselves.

Ans: Children are taught keeping in mind their ability to grasp information. If a child has difficulty or has not understood certain concept, it is explained again.  Also the child is given time so that he/she can undrerstand the lesson before proceeding to the next session.

Ans: Preschool years are very important and crucial years in a child’s life. The early experience in his life has a lasting affect on his/ her life. Hence the right age to start preschool education is from 1.5 to 2 years.

Q26. In KIDZEE student only play or do they learn also?

Ans: In KIDZEE students learn through playway method, which is based on Froebels kindergarten method and Maria Montessori method. Children are given an environment that doesn’t pressurize to them to learn. Children here are learning a lot of things in practical aspects through play materials and equipments.

Q27. Do children finish their Snacks/ lunch?

Ans: Snacks or Lunch is not provided by KIDZEE Centres, children are asked to get their lunch boxes. The attendants take care that children eat their lunch. Moreover when children are in a group, they eat, drink, play and do everything together.

Ans: The ratio is 1 teacher and 8 students.

Q29. Do you have trained teachers?

Ans: KIDZEE Policy specifies that the teachers appointed at KIDZEE Schools should be qualified. Also all the teachers are expected to undergo the Basic KIDZEE Training to further understand the methodology of KIDZEE.

Q34. How do I deal with hyperactive child?

Ans: Directing the child’s attention to a specific task for 1min every day can control Hyperactivity, this can be done on a regular basis to reduce the level of hyperactivity. You will have to bare with his hyperactivity for sometime till it subsides on its own. If hyperactivity is absolutely uncontrollable then you will have to take a professional help like that of a psychologist.

Ans: Yes, KIDZEE has its own school uniform.

Q36. How can we make our child smarter?

Ans: Encourage your child to take part in activities, encourage by giving incentives like taking them out for a walk e whenever the child does some good work, and encourage the child to express himself better.

Ans: Children are taught manners in school and similarly the manners have to be projected at home. Elders in school and home should be projecting good manners in front of the child because the child learns through imitation.
